We pick you up directly in your hotel or accomodation around 5 pm (6h30 pm on summer) and we go directly to Pico do Arieiro at 1818 metres of altitude where we can enjoy the Sunset in the most beautiful shades of orange, pink and red. You can walk around Pico do Arieiro for a while to find the ideal spot for the sunset or even to explore the peaks before it gets dark and you will have a spectacular Cheese Tray and some of the best local wine ready for you to enjoy. After the hotel pick up ( around 6:00 AM) we drive you to Pico do Arieiro where we will enjoy the Sunrise around 8 AM. This is the highest viewpoint of the island at 1818 metres of altitude. See the sunrise while enjoying a hot cup of coffee/tea, a luxury only our clients will have as there are no coffee places open at that time. You can choose a few varieties of coffee, as we have sugar and milk on the side, and we have 3 varieties of tea. You can enjoy all of this as it is included in our price. We also have sandwiches , homemade cake, biscuits, water, orange juice, fruit jam, cheese, ham, in a buffet style breakfast. After all of this we go back to the area of Camacha and go for a lovely levada walk in the Paradise Valley area, it should take you about 40 minutes to complete. If the weather/visibility conditions are not good enough to see the sunrise in Pico do Arieiro we change the sunrise spot to the Skywalk Viewpoint of Guindaste in Santana to guarantee a great sunrise.

After that, we venture to the North side of the island, into the more rural areas such as Ribeiro Frio and Faial where you can find hints of Laurissilva forest. Next is Santana. This is where you will find the traditional, authentic "A-Frame" houses you might have seen online or in guide books. We will see lots of agricultural terraces, we will meet locals and we will have lunch at possibly the best restaurant view on the island, Quinta do Furao Hotel. (optional extra, not included in price and highly recommended) After lunch we usually like to include some wine or rum tasting depending on the time we have and what the group is like.
